EYE Give Back Program

We are pleased to announce that as part of our stated mission to conduct ourselves
and our practice in a most socially responsible manner, Visionary Eye Care will donate
a portion of each eye examination to one of four charities. Patients will select from
the following charitable organizations:

Sinai Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

The Jennifer Gandel Kachura Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) handles a full range of medical problems of premature and critically ill newborns. Pediatric anesthesia, general surgical and neurosurgical services are available when needed. Diagnostic capabilities include laboratory medicine, radiology (ultrasound, CT and MRI) and echocardiography. Their staff provides extensive support and teaching to prepare families to provide ongoing care at home. Care team members may include: Pediatricians, Neonatologists, Neonatal Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Lactation Consultants and Occupational/Physical/Respiratory Therapists Through the generosity of several donors, the 21-bed NICU also offers a family room, which provides a private resting space for two primary caregivers actively involved in the care of their newborn.

Health Care for the Homeless

Health Care for the Homeless (HCH) was established in Baltimore in 1985 and is a nationally-recognized model for the delivery of care to underserved populations. HCH services are comprehensive. They offer pediatric and adult medical care, mental health services, social work and case management, addiction treatment, dental care, vision assistance, HIV services, outreach, supportive housing, and access to education and employment.

Brain Injury Association of Maryland

The Brain Injury Association of Maryland (BIAMD) is a nonprofit organization committed to bringing health, hope, and healing to Marylanders affected by brain injury. Founded in 1983 by families seeking support and resources, BIAMD has become a statewide leader in advocacy, education, and community support. Our mission is to be the voice of those impacted by brain injury through dedicated efforts in advocacy, education, and research. We provide critical services including free resource coordination, educational programs for professionals and caregivers, public awareness initiatives, and support networks for individuals and families. Through these efforts, BIAMD works to improve the quality of life for those living with brain injuries and the professionals who care for them.

Irvine Nature Center

Irvine is a leader in environmental education. Their mission is to educate and inspire current and future generations to explore, respect and protect nature. They provide outstanding nature programs to children, families and adults, and welcome 70,000 annual visitors to explore their 116 acres of woodlands, wetlands and meadows; enjoy their resident animals; and learn in their interactive exhibit hall free of charge. Their nationally recognized urban education program introduces Baltimore City students to nature, some for the very first time. Irvine also has a fully licensed Nature Preschool, terrific Summer Nature Camp programs and a dynamic Outdoor Classroom. They are supported by their members and generous donors.
